Thank You Iowa Arts Council & National Endowment for the Arts

We are thrilled to learn Welcome to Daytrotter has been awarded a grant through the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

While the grant will help fund the shooting of our film, it will not cover the entire cost.  For that, we continue to need your generous donations.  You can donate in any dollar amount through IndieGoGo and take advantage of our perks for donors.  Donations are tax-deductible, to the extent permitted by law.

In the last few weeks, we have continued filming in the Quad Cities, including shooting great sessions from Social Distortion and Blitzen Trapper.  As we move closer to completion of shooting, we have also started to prepare for the long editing and post-production process.

We continue to get great press coverage, such as this recent piece from Cheeky Chicago.  There are several other exciting things in the works we wish we could say more about right now.  To stay on top of the film and in-touch with us, please connect with us on Facebook and Twitter.

Raw Footage: The Vampire Weekend Show

Before their first album was even released, Vampire Weekend recorded a session at Daytrotter.  That night, they played a show at Huckleberry's Pizza below the studio, and what happened is pretty incredible.  Sean tells the story in this Raw Footage:

Were you one of the 30 or 40 people at the show?  If so, we'd love to hear from you.  Connect with us on Facebook and tell your story, or leave it here in the comments.
